Situated in Western Pennsylvania in the Steel Valley School District is a small but mighty church.
The church was placed in the name of Trustees of M E Episcopal Church of West Homestead on the 10th day of March in the year 1954. It was an amazing little Church for all the Steel Mill workers back then to attend during the peak of the Steel Industry. With 90% of mill workers walking or taking the trolley cars it was much easier to have a church situated so close to the areas the Mill once occupied. The church back then wasn't just a place to worship GOD but also a place to Pray for the safety of all those in the mills that worked long hours in harsh conditions. By the 70's-80's the mills did start to decline however the pews remained packed. Yet even with the decline one Steel worker remained positive stating "We didn't just make Steel, we made America" they all were able to do these things through GOD'S prayer. The church remained in the possession of the trustees of M E Episcopal until February 15th, 2024 when the lack of Methodist members was a very strong decline. The trustees gave the church members an option and it wasn't an easy option but yet a hard very hard option. That option was to either let it shut your doors for good and close the church permanently or to buy us out and they would only charge the building value portion. At that time the church decided it was now small yes, but it was a mighty church and could excel in everything that came with ownership with this new adventure. The moment to get things going and not lose the precious church and close its doors it was simply named West Homestead Church. Over the next year "New Life Through Christ West Homestead" was established and yet still small but mighty in praising the Lord's name. Today we praise the Lord's name with our beloved Pastor John Devey. Even with a small congregation the church continues to excel and amaze many people and with do this all through prayer and God's love.

At My NLTC Wh, we are committed to serving our community and sharing the love of Christ. We believe that everyone is welcome in our church, and we strive to create a safe and inclusive space for all people.

We believe that without Faith it's impossible to please GOD. Hebrews 11:6 We believe in his existence, we trust in his character. Our FAITH isn't passive, it's active. Our FAITH leads us to obedience, worship and a life fully submitted to God's will.

My journey to faith began through my mother, Marlys, who was once my Sunday School teacher. She became an example for her children of how to deal with life’s hardships. I can still see her with her Bible opened. She was a true prayer warrior.
My father, Papa Joe, through the example he gave us, taught us that no matter how far you fall God’s mighty hand can still reach you and bring you back to life. His miraculous transformation kept our family from disintegrating. It’s a wonderful thing to look up to your father.
My parents were instrumental in showing me the power of faith in Jesus Christ. We saw for ourselves the depth of love and what it can endure. They survived things they wished they never had to. With God, Jesus said, all things are possible. With God nothing is impossible. God took full advantage of the opportunity to show our family His tender mercies and His overwhelming grace.
My grandparents were a major influence. They were dairy farmers. They worked together for the common good of their family. My grandmother, Evelyn, was the pianist in the local Lutheran church where I was coerced to sing solos. I lived with them for 12 years and farmed with my grandfather John. He taught me so much.
Grandma’s main goal was to get you saved. She never gave up on me. It’s through her I learned the need for salvation.
My journey led me down the wrong path. I made bad choices. My father’s experience became my inspiration. I wouldn’t be who I am today without this trial in my life.
I met my spiritual guide in Rev. Robert Critchlow. He became my mentor and prayer partner. He was 81 at the time and still pastoring a church. His guidance confirmed God’s call on my life.
After many twists and turns, God saw fit to plant me in the very church Robert Critchlow pastored. Our mission is to save as many souls for Christ as possible. Our church, New Life Through Christ, is dedicated to exactly that – leading desperate people to a new life through Christ. I’m home.
